A support point for Camino travelers has been established in the Sigulda Castle quarter, in the “Baltu Rotas” shop- workshop. The workshop offers a special stamp and a great opportunity to make a unique Camino shell souvenir with an ancient press. The support point offers a place to relax, refill water, charge mobile phones, and a place where the traveler can get a lot of interesting information about jewelry and culture.

The Santiago Road (Camino de Santiago) is one of the most popular pilgrimage routes in the world. The destination of this road is the St. Cathedral of Jacob, located in northern Spanish city Santiago de Compostela. It is said that following this path is an individual way of cognition and forgiveness.

The total St. Jacob Road in Latvia is 562 km long. It consists of 24 stages. There are 12 stages (280 km) from the starting point in Valka at the Estonian border to Riga. The road from Riga to the Lithuanian border is possible in two ways: 6 sections to Žagare (133 km) or St. Meinarda road – 6 stages to Skaistkalne (149 km).
